A new Illinois law requiring all public single-use restrooms to be gender-neutral, went into effect January 1st.

The law defines “single-occupancy” as “a fully enclosed room, with a locking mechanism controlled by the user, containing a sink, toilet stall, and no more than one urinal.”

We are so happy to see states taking initiative to further normalize gender neutral restrooms.
