The queen of all drag queens, Shangela, joins Shira Lazar & Ryan Mitchell on Let's Go There to discuss how she has had to pivot her career goals during the pandemic, plus shares all the inside scoop on her new HBO series, We're Here! The RuPaul's Dragrace queen says that nothing "can take away the spirit of a working girl", meaning she has shifted what she's been working on in order to support herself during the pandemic. Shangela also says she's been focusing a lot of her energy on supporting fellow queens who have relied heavily on the gig-economy.

The queen says that her new HBO series, We're Here, is a far departure from Netflix's Queer Eye, even though the two make-over shows have been compared. Alongside co-stars, Bob The Drag Queen and Eureka O'Hara, Shangela is showing small-town residents how drag brings people together. She says We're Here is different because the three queens are bringing LGBTQ community members together and allowing small-town residents to see that others have similar experiences.
