Coffee County District Attorney Craig Northcott, a Tennessee prosecutor, is facing calls to resign after a video surfaced of him saying same-sex couples aren’t entitled to domestic violence protections. So how can same-sex couples be protected when it comes to domestic abuse while knowing their local officials and police may discriminate and not give them the rights they need to be protected? Beth Leventhal, Co-Executive Director at The Network/ La Red a survivor-led, social justice organization that works to end partner abuse for the lgbtq+ community joins us to discuss this issue and tools for victims to get help and be protected.
